↳ Artistic Practice
Tatiana Kaufmann is a German-Ukrainian new media artist and art director based in Berlin. Her practice explores technology, sensory perception, and modern materialist culture through installations, moving image, light, and sound.
As a child of the post-Soviet era, she investigates ideological conflict, identity, and transformation within digital and physical environments. Recently, her work has expanded toward olfactory and tactile experiences, examining how scent and atmosphere shape emotional memory and collective imagination. Combining conceptual precision with poetic visual language, she creates immersive environments that connect craft, nature, and contemporary media. Through her interdisciplinary approach, she seeks to bridge traditional knowledge and collective memories with modern multi-sensory experiences, proposing new ways of understanding, presence and empathy in an increasingly technological world.
